Use iTunes to convert to MP3

In my class we create a lot of different types of music files from .aiff to .wav. Some of these are quite large and will not transfer to devices. In addition, one of our funnest assignments is to make a ringtone. For this to work we need to email the ringtone to our phone, and from there tell the phone to use the music as the ringtone. A free way to convert the large files to MP3 files is found in iTunes. If one goes into the preferences and changes the import settings, then students can bring the large files into iTunes, convert them , and WALLLAA! a small, handy MP3! This is also very handy for the students to share any of their other compositions by email with their families.
